Business Office

Waldwick School District Business Office:

The Business Office of the Waldwick School District, under the direction of the Business Administrator and Board Secretary, is responsible for managing all financial and operational functions that support the district's mission. This includes preparing Board of Education meeting agendas, attending Board meetings, and maintaining official records and minutes.

The office oversees the district’s fiscal operations, including budget development, payroll, purchasing, and financial reporting. These responsibilities are carefully aligned with Waldwick’s educational goals to ensure responsible and effective resource allocation. Additionally, the Business Office manages key support services such as facility operations, transportation, food service, and non-certificated staffing.

The office maintains critical financial and personnel systems, ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, and monitors enrollment trends, economic data, and available grant opportunities. The preparation of the annual audit and ongoing coordination with the New Jersey Department of Education are also part of its core responsibilities.

Risk management functions are handled within the Business Office, including oversight of insurance programs covering workers’ compensation, liability, property, health, and dental plans. The office also provides direct oversight of the Buildings & Grounds Department, supporting the maintenance and improvement of district facilities.
