    Dear Parent/Guardian

This letter is to give you an update on the current 2017-2018 School Calendar.  As you are aware, the school district lost four (4) instructional days this year because of inclement weather.  The New Jersey Department of Education requires a 180-day school year, however, Waldwick Schools have traditionally had 182 days of instruction.  At last night’s Board of Education meeting, a modified school calendar was approved to have 181 days of instruction. As a result, next week’s Spring Recess will remain a full week as originally planned.

Hopefully, some spring-like weather will be coming soon.

    Sincerely,

    Dr. Paul D. Casarico

    Superintendent of Schools
