Waldwick High School

WHS News & Announcements

  • Waldwick won’t vote on school improvements this January.

Gov. Phil Murphy has canceled special elections for the third time, citing health risks for voters and poll workers. That order will delay Waldwick’s plans to seek voter approval for a Stronger Schools proposal.

Waldwick’s Board of Education originally planned a September 2020 bond referendum. It was postponed to December 2020, and then to January 2021. The governor’s order means the next earliest opportunity is in March 2021.

The Board will return to discussions of when to ask for the voter permission that would be necessary to accomplish critical school improvements.

The proposal is a comprehensive package of renovations and upgrades to provide stronger buildings, stronger support for Waldwick’s curriculum, and stronger security.

HIB Information

  • Each year the state requires that every school in the district complete a self assessment in order to determine a grade for harassment, intimidation and bullying.  These assessments are completed by individual school safety teams and submitted to the state for approval.  Please find the HIB grade results for the 2018-2019 school year below.
